We have installed a new training center called the elacademy for our employees at our head office in Haren (Ems), Germany. It goes without saying that this new facility is based on an ELA office container unit! There are seminar rooms, individual workspaces, break areas, and an audio and video studio covering around 200 m² in total across two floors. This modern space provides the perfect environment for learning, sharing knowledge and growing professionally as a team.

We are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for continuing professional development.
Berthold Röttger
Director of Human Resources

Group training and interactive workshops can be delivered in the two large seminar rooms. Two individual workspaces are also provided for employees who need to work independently and concentrate on their learning. The high-end equipment in the video and audio studio can be used to produce professional-looking video content and webinars. Overall, the elacademy provides an ideal setting for IT and product training, meetings and project work as a team. “We’re now in a position to deliver training content and share information efficiently and effectively,” said Röttger.

The modern roof terrace is filled with comfy outdoor furniture that is perfect for relaxing breaks and conversations.
The training rooms are equipped with high-end meeting technology and suitable furniture.

The elacademy is designed to be a place where employees can concentrate on their learning but also enjoy breaks and social interaction. Employees can head out onto the spacious wooden roof terrace for informal meetings and gatherings – comfy outdoor furniture is provided. There is also a break area with a kitchen counter on the ground floor, where employees can enjoy a coffee and a snack.

11 ELA office containers make up the elacademy altogether, with training and break rooms, toilet facilities and a utility room provided. The industrial-style unit is anthracite gray on the outside, but the walls and ceiling are light and welcoming on the inside. The wooden look of the floor creates a high-end appearance throughout. Split heating and air conditioning units, sunscreen roller blinds and a sun shield combine to keep the temperature just right all year round. There is also protection around the bottom of the unit to stop animals creeping underneath it.

“The elacademy demonstrates our commitment to our employees’ continuing professional development, showing that ELA is prepared to invest in innovative solutions to support its staff as far as possible,” said Röttger. After all, there is no denying that professional and personal growth are key to business success and workforce retention.
