In the summer of 2024, Nordfuel GmbH began operating one of Europe’s largest and most state-of-the-art biomethane plants on the Coastal Canal in Friesoythe. The innovative production facility processes farm manure to produce energy. Organic waste products, such as slurry and manure from local farms, are transformed into biomethane there, which is then fed into the regional natural gas network as an energy source.
While the office building is still under construction for 18 more months, Nordfuel administration and control room employees are being accommodated in a comfortable office container unit from ELA.

‘We have been involved in many energy sector projects,’ says ELA Area Sales Manager Ralf Neelen. According to Neelen, ELA is particularly happy to support the regional generation of sustainable energy.
The temporary room solution from ELA comprises 34 office, sanitary, kitchen, and corridor containers with a total usable space of nearly 700 m2. The two-storey unit features an interior stairwell and steel steps with a platform on the outside.

An awning over the entrance keeps the area dry from rain. On the interior, circumferential cable runs allow the customer to customise the layout of their mains and data cables. To ensure that employees can get to work without getting their feet wet, ELA laid a walkway made of concrete slabs.

‘It was very efficient and pleasant to work with ELA Container on the design, delivery, and handover,’ says Sina Wübben, Head of Production at Nordfuel. According to Wübben, ELA’s response to all the customer’s requirements was quick, professional, and effective.
